Intro

@Deccyf

It is that time again guys, I for one am glad it is not Sanic again… a select few of you may not be. But without further ado, let me reintroduce REmake. We played this, probably up to a year and a half ago now. We played as S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team's Jill Valentine and her journey through the Spencer Mansion in the Arklay mountains. Zombies tried to eat us, plants tried to constrict us, giant sharks tried to devour us, and a full-on Wolverine bad arse tried to turn us to ribbons with a big claw.

This time, we are playing as Chris! He is considered hard mode for REmake.

Chris Redfield, another member of S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team, separated in the second raid on Spencer Mansion after Bravo team went dark. While last time as Jill, you were looking for Chris with Wesker and Barry. This time you are trying to reconnect with Jill and the others while trying to discover what really is happening with all these brutal mutilations and murders in the mountains.

Chris has the lighter, 2 x less inventory slots, more health and has a slightly higher critical chance with weapons to take off Zombies heads. He does not have the pick lock like Jill had so you will have to rely on ‘Old Keys’ to unlock certain doors.

Version: PC (PS3/PS4/PS5, Xbox 360/Xbox 1 versions accepted) GameCube accepted as long as the runner accepts they will have a disadvantage over those with arranged controls.

Controls: Arranged Controls. (You can switch to Tank controls if you want to but for those unfamiliar with the game it is ill advised as it will be a natural disadvantage unless you want to Stair Skate).

Progress:

Last time we went for completion, with bosses and puzzles completed as progress markers if you can’t complete it. I am going to try and be a bit clearer with progress markers this time to help people better understand their progress.

Completion will be the first Tiebreaker.

Bosses defeated will be the next tiebreaker:
• Elder Crimson Head
• Yawn 1 (Giant Snake)
• Plant 42
• Neptune (Giant Shark)
• Black Tiger (Giant Spider)
• Yawn 2 (Second bout with the Giant Snake)
• Lisa Trevor
• Tyrant 1.
• Tyrant 2.

Puzzles solved will be another tiebreaker if needed. I doubt we will get that far but if we do, make mental notes of rooms you solved puzzles in. Most of these will require key items so it will come hand in hand with the key item tiebreaker.

Key Items obtained to be the next Tiebreaker; these will involve items that progress the game/solve puzzles. So, we a talking about the keys (Armour, Sword, Shield and Helmet Keys), Death Masks, MO Disks. I would list them all but there are a fair few and most of the time they will disappear once used so try to make a mental note of what ones you have picked up if you can.

Deaths to be the final tiebreaker.

So, Completion > Bosses > Puzzles > Key Items > Deaths.

Difficulty: Like climbing a mountain, fulfilling, but takes a lot of work. (Normal) - The difficulties below are Easy and Very Easy. I have attached the difficulty screen to highlight the options, it is the top option you need.

Time allotted: 5 Hours

Tips:
Inventory boxes are strategically placed throughout the mansion, they are linked to each other magically, what you put in one, will appear in another.

In addition to this be aware zombies are more dangerous if not decapitated or dispatched after a period. The dead don't really stay dead after all!

Updated Information:

4 Bosses are skippable in the game, due to the nature of the tiebreakers, it is up to the runner to weigh up the risks of skipping a boss in hope the added time will help them complete the game or defeat the boss for an added tiebreaker. Skippable Bosses:
• Yawn 1
• Neptune
• Black Tiger
• Tyrant

No New Game+ runs, so no Samurai Edge or Unlimited Rocket Launcher runs. New Game only!

There is a couple of side things you can do on this game that are not integral to completion that will help seperate the runners. Saving Jill Valentine and Rebecca Chambers are optional, however, saving them will increase puzzle total!

Puzzle List:
• Picture Room Puzzle
• Four Knights Puzzle
• Clock Puzzle
• Courtyard Puzzle
• Neptune Puzzle
• Bookshelf Puzzle
• Underground Statue Puzzle
• Labratory Keypad Puzzle
• X-Ray Puzzle
• Cylinder Puzzle
• Labratory Computer Puzzle
• Mansion Eagle Puzzle
• Mansion Statue Puzzle
• V-Jolt and Keypad Puzzle
• Jewellery Box Puzzle
• Save Jill Valentine
• Save Rebecca Chambers

@Deccyf

Let's close this round up, we played Scary Mansion Real Estate Simulator 2002 again. One of my favourite franchises. Compared to Season 2 we had a lot more god gamers attempting this and across the board we did a lot better this time round. Before we start, yes we don't like Deccy rules (DOOMgate etc), however, Deccy did learn from his mistakes from that round. I was as thorough as I could be, but there was some confusion regarding the final tiebreakers. Rest assured Deaths were over Time from the beginning, the problem I had was that measuring progress to make this as fair as possible was finicky at best. But we have moved on, so lets not lynch me again plx, in before please @ me after this posts haha.

We had a great showing from Floof, who smashed it out of the park. Deathless 100%, saved all goombas and solved all princesses. Garlip's upped the ante and had a clinical finish, however, had a rough time with some window breaking Hunters, who ended his chances on his first 1st of his debuting season, very unfortunate. Moving on to 3rd, where I lost my head, nerves got the better of me and I misread my own notes I made from trying to solve V-Jolt and ended up barely completing the game but at the cost of our beloved Jill Valentine. Mr Matt started his run strong, quick and precise and after a death his nerves got to him, but he had a strong showing depsite only able to put in a 2 hour run, he met Lisa and made his way to Neptune and Plant 42 before calling it a day.

Kylo and Marc had strong runs, clearing Mansion 1 and reaching the Courtyard. Quantum and Tom the Wizzard took their S2 runs and used them as motivation to beat their REmake Wheel PB's. 16Bit entered the rage cage for another time and solved a puzzle. Unfortunately, everyone else got stuck in the maze that was Spencer Mansion and decided, no, they weren't going to put an offer on the building.

Proud of you all, you all did so well. Resident Evil isn't a great Wheel game, but you all gave it your best shot.
