Tony Hawk's Pro-Skater 2 is the year 2000 sequel to THPS1, continuing to innovate and further improve the skateboarding system created in the first game. This game is the perfect follow up - bigger and better in every way, featuring an iconic soundtrack that rips almost as hard as your skater's shinbones when you bail. Massive gaps, epic tricks and greater manoeuvrability. The franchise was hugely influential, riding and perhaps even proliferating the abundance of skate culture in the early 2000's, spawning an impressive number of imitators and hogging the zeitgeist for quite some time. Recently the combined remake of THPS1&2 smashed onto modern consoles just in time to remind us all why we loved it in the first place.

Anthony The Hawk’s second game is a continuation of his playable, autobiographical skateboarding adventures in the mid-to-late 90’s. As a pro-skater, you will be collecting money, VHS tapes and significant quantities of points in 2 minute chunks while an assortment of radical and probably highly copyrighted music plays - very cool.

You will begin Career Mode as none other than Tony Hawk himself, and skate your way through the various goals listed for each level. You’ll be able to launch yourself into the same 2 minutes over and over again so not every goal needs to be completed in one perfect 2 minute run… unless you’re both sick and far-out that is. You can also collect money that can be used to purchase stat points that you can apply to the Birdman - this is allowed for this submission. Can you pull off a 900? Will you haggle for a 720, then settle for a 540? Probably, knowing you.

Scoring:

Goals Complete > Time.

You MUST play as Tony Hawk. Start your career and timer, and then play for three hours. We will take the number of goals completed, alongside the time the last goal was achieved. No cheats or modifiers and no unlocked skaters/boards are allowed. You ARE allowed to apply stat points that are found while playing in Career Mode.

Levels that focus around skating competitions and medals will be counted as one goal completed for a gold or 1st place result.

Helpful Information:

There is a lot of hidden money throughout the levels, including Skate Jams - you can spend this money on stat points that increase Tony Hawk’s attributes. You’ll be able to skate faster, jump higher - finding more stuff and scoring more points..

Streamer Notes:

You can turn down the music in Options. While it is soul crushing to do so, we imagine the vast amount of copyrighted music in the game will get your VOD immediately flagged. You could always put on the Sonic R soundtrack - haha, just kidding, unless…?

Big Captain comes away as this week's winner in stunning fashion. No pre-game boasting, no "Oh I'm great at that game," no inkling as to how hard he was about to shred, nothing. Just show up, rip off a 52 in 3 hours and drop the mic. Well done!
Garlips gets one over on his budding romancerivalry with Kylo. For those playing at home, Garlips is 4-0 head-to-head this season. (inb4 Kylo Struggle-R rant yada yada)
Speaking of Kylo, he did really well at Tony Hawk! Just because he lost to Garlips, shouldn't take away from his great performance and his 3rd place finish here. Well done!
Doodles crushed out his 32nd goal with just seconds to spare to bump up from 5th to 4th, great effort! Always play to the whistle.
Enbyzee set the pace with 31 goals, showing that even if you don't think you did well, you might surprise yourself! Radical!
RaefGall also hit that magic 31, but just a few minutes later than Enbyzee. Every second counts!
FalseZero tied with 16bit for goals earned, but after a VAR-check (I watched 16bit's VOD), came out on top by about 7 minutes. No foul?!
Carl ripped out 28 goals, bumping him from 10th to 9th over Shmumbler, who shkated shublimely and claimed the final spot on the Top 10.

"What about our cute and cuddly bars? Where did they go?" Well, nature sent a hurricane to Tater's house to interrupt his Tony Hawk gameplay, and he never went back to it. Deccy facerolled to 13 goals and took a default win over Tater, bringing his head-to-head record to 4-1. Once again, poor Fiona is stuck between two bars this week.
