Nightshade (no, not that one) is a sequel to the 2002 PS2 Shinobi game, featuring a female ninja or "Kunoichi" - which is actually the game's name in Japan. Developed by Overworks and published by SEGA in 2003, it's actually the eleventh game in the Shinobi series. As Hibana (and other characters), you are tasked by the Government to eliminate the members of the Nakatomi (no, not that one) Corporation, who have messed up Tokyo with some pretty freaky monstery-roboty-things. Whoopsie, gomen ne sai. It received fairly average reviews for the time and occupies that solid 6-to-7/10 PS2 action brawler territory, snuggled under DMC3 but certainly above Onechanbara.
